Hello again from cloudy South Vancouver. This week was very much a mixed bag, with some blessings but also some losses. I will tell you what happened, to the best of my ability.
Art of the Week
My main project of the week was doing the ink work and inbetweens on my Poisson Steve animation. Yes I still have to post the first draft and character designs here, don’t worry I haven’t forgotten. Once again though, that will be a paid post.
The other thing I did a little was work a bit more on my cartoon self, which I think might be cool to have if I want to do some artistic live-streaming on Twitch.
No additional news, as today was a very busy week otherwise…
Spirituality of the Week
This week, I went to the beach to celebrate the summer solstice with some friends.
I can’t talk too much about specifics but I did a couple of tarot readings for folks and had some fish and chips while I was there.
This week was also the dark of the moon again, so I celebrated the Deipnon for Lady Hekate.
I celebrated the Noumenia by making a Kathiskos for Zeus the day after.
And the day after that, I sadly found out that a major organizer in the local pagan community and a good friend had died.
Trying not to talk specifics here to preserve the privacy of the individuals involved, but as he makes it to the land of the ancestors, it is now up to me to handle one of the events he helped organize.
In any case-it’s been a mixed week.
Reading of the Week
It feels best to draw once again from The Celestial Tarot, as that’s the deck I’m most familiar with drawing from, and I do feel I need to take it easy this week.
The astro dice today have rolled Saturn in Libra, which hints at limitations and discipline, but also balance, justice, intellect, and relationships.
Release: IX-The Hermit (Virgo). Perhaps you’ve been deep in introspection and contemplation, and now it’s time to reach out once again. It’s time to leave behind the version of you that only contemplates and considers different paths-there’s a whole world to experience!
Embody: XIX-The Sun (Sun). It’s now to to bring your light out there and reach those who would best appreciate it. The Sun invites you to relish in your creative power and shine brightly for all to see.
Embrace: Four of Cups (Serpens). Something to be mindful of going forward is that it can be easy to get stuck in an emotional rut, only doing that which makes us comfortable. Some comfort is a good thing, but if you find yourself experiencing “stuckness”, break out! Find a new way of doing things. You may be pleasantly surprised at a new technique or method of expressing yourself.
Here’s the spread:
And now, a poem:
Your thoughts are enough,
Shine brightly, friend!
Ever mind the snake,
Eating away your confidence.
Conclusion
All in all, I hope you have a great week coming up. Mixed bags happen, and it isn’t anyone’s fault-the universe has to have highs and lows, otherwise it wouldn’t be much of a story.
Take care friends, and I look forward to seeing you next week.
