Happy Father’s Day from sunny southeast Vancouver! I had a wonderfully fun and busy week, starting with Italian Day the previous Sunday (I typically write these entries early in the morning so I still have quite a bit of day thereafter). Here’s me in a pub just before Italian Day started.
I’ve been very happy with what I’ve done this week, although not all of it will be shown here, as it’s all in early development and I typically show all that to paid subscribers, both here and on Patreon.
But nevertheless, let’s dig into what we can!
Art of the Week
This week I did two things-work on the Poisson Steve animation and character sketches of a comic I’d like to do someday (after Ohmworld and possibly another comic too). Both are still in early development, enough so that even paid members won’t get access to the former until I finish the rough draft (likely this week), and for the latter, I’m probably going to work on my material more before I show it at all. The wheels are turning, but the latter idea is still very much in flux. I like to at least have some idea of what I’m doing before I show off.
Most of my finished work was in spirituality this week, so I’ll show that.
Spirituality of the Week
I celebrated Skira with Lady Athena in the afternoon of the previous Sunday:
Back then I had very little pantry items to bless but I had Her bless what I could. I think it went well.
I also did a video regarding simple energy working in magick:
On Tuesday I dried some herbs:
And finally, we had the full strawberry moon on Wednesday night! I developed a special and very simple spell for that:
Last but not least, a new tarot deck and book on the tarot and storytelling arrived this week, and I’m looking forward to digging into it once I finish my book on astrology.
Speaking of tarot, let’s start your reading!
Reading of the Week
I’d like to spend some time getting to know the Mystic Storyteller tarot before actually using it in a reading, so this week I’ll be doing the usual 3-card Celestial Tarot reading, plus astro dice.
Astro Dice: Saturn in Leo. This may pertain to limits and discipline regarding your courage and extraversion.
1st card: XIII-Death (Scorpio). It sounds like you’ve undergone moments of deep transformation, and painful release of aspects of your old self. But don’t overly examine yourself, lest you find yourself in a state of analysis paralysis.
2nd card: Five of Swords (Pegasus). It’s time to use your intellect to transform your past pain into new ideas. You’ve dug deep, now what do you most wish to express?
3rd card: Seven of Swords (Lepus). This card suggests that you may find yourself navigating a tricky situation. Perhaps you’re afraid that if you shine too brightly, others will take advantage of you? This card doesn’t invalidate that fear, however, you ought to shine. Rather than avoid it, just keep your wits about you and set boundaries where needed. That should help prevent unnecessary problems from the fakers.
Here’s the full spread:
Now, a poem:
Emerging from the cave,
Fly so brave!
The slings and arrows transform.
Ignore the fakers,
The stabbers and takers,
Let your true light be your norm.
Conclusion
The art side of this Atelier will be quietly working on early arts for at least the next week, but if you’s like to see my sketches and early animation, I encourage you to become a paid subscriber! Paid subscribers get to see my behind the scenes work, well before it’s all finished.
Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you have a great week!
I loved your Strawberry Moon spell and the tarot reading’s wisdom, with my favorite being the reminder to shine while keeping boundaries.
