Good morning from pleasantly warm and cloudy Vancouver. Spring is in full swing here and there are lots of flowers to be found in the neighborhood.
We’re in the middle of Easter weekend, but because I didn’t think to sign it off from work in advance, it’s somehow even busier for me than most weekends. I’ll be celebrating by slinging drinks and perhaps indulging in a few mini eggs.
This last week has been especially busy for me in terms of art, so let’s begin.
Art of the Week
The first big thing to note this week is that I returned to my local comic collective Cloudscape for the first time since the pandemic. For me, this is a very important milestone, and something I’m very proud of. I spent the evening talking with an old friend and making the Ohmworld related art and comics that you’ll be able to see in yesterday’s paid post, so give that a look if you’re interested in seeing my comics early. But if you’d just like some inspiring words, have a gander at this video:
The other big event of the week was an art show opening at Basic Inquiry. It was in celebration of a particularly skilled dancer and model there named Billy, so I went there to make art and post it. Prior to that two hour session, I also did a three hour morning session, so by the end of those sessions I was super tuckered out.
I’m glad I did it though.
Below is the art from the morning session (careful, artistic nudity):
And these studies are from Billy’s session:
Here’s me with my artwork in the gallery.
Anyway, I’m proud of what I did this week for art. I feel like I pushed out of my limits and made some very interesting work.
Spirituality of the Week
This week was the celebration of Olympeia, a ceremony in honour of Zeus’ old temple of the same name.
I did a little ceremony for it, which if you’d like you can see below:
It’s a quieter week this week, due to the waning moon, so mostly I took it easy and just stuck to my meditation routine.
Reading of the Week
Today I’m going to do a four card reading from The Cerulean Sequence by James R. Eads. I’ll add a numerology due to it to give a sense of the energies going into the reading.
The number going in is 7:
Which is a very spiritual number. It suggests wisdom, the higher purpose of spirit, and good fortune.
Now for the reading itself:
You (top left): 5. You’re in a moment of flux and growth, and getting on with your fascinations. 5 is a number of change, and often that’s a good thing-change often means that you can adapt to more than you did before.
What to Change (top right): 7. It may be wise at times to slow down and appreciate the poetry of the green growing things around you, or perhaps the mushrooms if you’re living in the southern hemisphere. 7 being a number of wisdom, I would suggest embracing your changes, but also taking time to reflect.
What You Desire (bottom left): 9. It seems you thirst for more knowledge, and more confidence in what you know. Don’t worry, it’ll come with time.
What You Can’t Control (bottom right): 3. Seems like your access to knowledge may be limited by the technology you’re using. Understandable-we all face that limitation.
The Overall Lesson: I would say, embrace your growth and desire for knowledge, but don’t forget to take time to reflect. Your machinery may limit you, but it should help you too.
Conclusion
That’ll all that’s been happening for me this week. I sincerely hope you too have had a good week, and I hope that the oracle reading provides some guidance for your week going forward.
Thank you so much for reading!
